Honest Horse Training
Kristine trains every horse using Clinton Anderson's Method: groundwork first, clear communication, and steady, consistent work. The goal is a calm, confident, respectful horse, and an owner who knows how to keep it that way.
And if training can't give your horse what you're hoping for, we'll tell you up front.
What We Train
Every Horse Starts Somewhere
Whether your horse is just getting started or has picked up habits you can't fix on your own, the approach is the same: find the real cause, then build the right foundation.
Starting Young Horses
A solid foundation from the ground up: groundwork, first saddling, and first rides, done calmly and without shortcuts.
Problem Horses
Bucking, rearing, spooking, buddy sour, hard to catch, or trouble loading. We work on the root of the problem, not just the symptom.
Tune-Ups & Refreshers
For horses that know the basics but have gotten rusty, had time off, or picked up bad habits along the way.
Ground Manners
Leading, tying, respecting your space, and standing quietly for the farrier. Kristine has been a farrier for over 20 years, so she knows what good feet manners look like.
Trail & Obstacle Work
Bridges, water, tarps, gates, and new places. We build the confidence your horse needs to go where you ask, calmly.
Performance Horses
Softness, responsiveness, and a willing attitude, so your horse is ready to do its job in the arena and beyond.
How We Train
Clinton Anderson's Method
Kristine has trained with The Method for over 21 years. It uses groundwork, body language, and pressure and release to teach a horse to think instead of react. Horse and rider learn to work as a team.
Respect
A horse that respects your space and your cues is a safer horse to be around.
Trust
Calm, confident horses come from training that builds trust, not fear.
Consistency
The same clear message every day, so the horse always knows what's being asked.
Clear Communication
Pressure and release your horse understands, so you can keep the results at home.
