Her Story

A Lifetime With Horses

Kristine has been around horses for more than 31 years. For over 21 of those she has trained with Clinton Anderson's Method, and she has worked as a farrier for more than 20. Over the years, hundreds of horse owners across Central Oregon have trusted her with their horses.

It started when she was eight years old, working alongside her mother at a riding stable in Big Bear, California. She groomed, fed, and rode every day, and helped guide trail rides for the stable's guests. Many of her clients today are parents looking for a safe, steady horse for their kids, and she takes that responsibility seriously.

What sets K Bar M apart is simple: honesty. Kristine tells you the truth about every horse, even when it costs her the sale. If training can't give your horse what you're hoping for, she'll tell you before you spend a dollar. She has turned work away rather than take money for a result she couldn't deliver, and that's exactly why her clients keep coming back.

Kristine is also President of the Prineville Ridge Riders, our local riding club, and a 4-H leader, helping young riders learn to do things the right way.

Today, from the ranch outside Prineville, Kristine trains horses, sells horses she has trained herself, teaches lessons, and runs hands-on workshops for owners who want to solve problems with their own horses.

Clinton Anderson's Method

Kristine has trained with The Method for over 21 years. It uses groundwork, body language, and pressure and release to teach a horse to think instead of react. Horse and rider learn to work as a team.
